Hi,

I recently received a rock band set with the Rock Band 2 Wii disc. I've dove down this rabbit hole for about 2 weeks now and it's driving me insane. I've done just about every guide on google and I've had no luck. I'm curious to know if I'm doing something wrong. So, I have acquired some RB2 DLC and I've been trying to install some of the split WADs (Since Big Wads are too large for the 2GB SD) via wad2bin. Wad2bin finishes the WAD, puts the gen folder (sZAE, sZBE etc.) into private/wii/data fine with the bogus wad and then I do the uninstall/install method on yawm. After loading into RB2 I get the Refreshing downloaded content message, but nothing ever pops up in-game. I am using a 2GB SD formatted to Fat32 and I've installed the correct cIOS via d2x-cios installer. I am also launching the game from the Disc Channel and not a USB loader. Are there more steps that are missing from these guides? Are my WADs possibly corrupt? I have also noticed that wad2bin will successfully unpack and save to the SD, but I get an error saying Checksum mismatch and a wad2bin_wad_data\0000xx .app not found. Any help is appreciated! I just want to enjoy some nostalgia with my kids.

If I'm not mistaken, RB2 will only read up to a 2GB SD card. I could only find Big WADs that ranged from 3-5GB. So space is limited.
Well, if they are WADs, you would have to install them to the system memory to be able to use them. So wouldn't that not matter since it would be ready from the system NAND? I'm just assuming since I've never played RB2, but that's how I think it would work?

I've read somewhere that RB2 reads the DLC from the SD card. I'll try to transfer a couple of WADs to the NAND via Wiixplorer and see if that works. The downside to that is, the wii NAND is only 512mb which would mean I could only install a handful of WADs. Now that being said, I wonder if I could use an EMUnand to be able to have more WADs to use.

**UPDATE** Tried creating an EmuNAND to run the RB2 DLC but the process failed due to a download issue with sneek. Also installed a DLC WAD directly to the Wii NAND itself and getting the same issue.... DLC does not show in-game. There has to be something I am doing wrong.

I trust one of the many points down the rabbit hole was https://gbatemp.net/threads/installing-rock-band-just-dance-and-guitar-hero-dlc-on-wii.624594/

If not, check there.

I haven't done this before, but it looks to me to be a pretty involved process of preparing a wad, so to answer your question, yeah, it could be a problem with the wad file.
Yeah, I've went over this guide a few times as well as a couple of others. I found some different WADs and tried them in wad2bin and this time it went through just fine with no issues but I'm still having the problem of the DLC not loading into RB2 sadly. Hopefully someone out there has a solution!

**UPDATE** I was able to get my DLC working on RB3D. Make sure to put your copy of RB3 on a USB flash drive and use USBloader. Fixed all my issues.
