Why do so many have problems with Wii Sports Resort?
It didn't play this Howto video at all, Grand Slam did it before (Original disc).
And I start it with cloader (Loadstructor):
    Boot from: USB
    Region: don't overwrite
    Language: System default
    Video-Mode: Game default
    Ocarina: No
    Verbose: No
    VIDTV Patch: No
Works fine on my PAL Wii with component cable.

I finally got to work via alt dol method, buuuuuut I can only run it by allowing the video to be disc or forced NTSC. If I do this the video comes out either green tinted or red tinted, if i force WII video or PAL it locks up and wont run (just a green screen) resident evil archives is also the same!? Does anyone know a fix, I am running a softmodded 4.0E PAL Wii in 60hz with a RGB cable.

Im thinking that in the Iso there is some sort of images with Jap text which i could edit to english- repack and there you go. Or im just talking bull.
    some one please correct me.

Unless there are english language files included on the disc (which you could swap out like in metroid) I honestly wouldnt bother.

    Just wait a little longer.

As usuall read some tutorials on romhacking.net the rest should be reversing the game files.
But as already said in a few weeks it comes anyway out

    Strictly hypothetically speaking...

Say if someone could remedy a few people's problems in regards to langauge issues in exchange for a possible solution to the PAL 001 error of WSR that's being booted via NeoGamma on DVD.

Who would this person have to contact? And before trolling...

I think that it is highly impossible for wii sports resort to have english files so that you can switch the language....

Unless you have a PAL copy.
    All due respects. [IMG]

Some have no intentions of updating their wii from the disc, so backup is the only option atm.

Are you trying to say that you have a PAL version of Wii Sports Resorts ???

Yes, a promo copy of the game.

    pics, to avoid trolls.

Ripped it earlier today, but its giving the same 001 error of the game - and obviously, I have no idea how to work around it.

So I'm putting it out to the forum community if they're willing to help.

I'm a bit backwards so I'm still not using USB loaders - so it has to be a DVD fix. The alternate .dol file for the J version didnt do much good.

edit: Is there a way to partition off a section of an external HDD so I can try the USB loaders? Not willing to risk 500gb of backed up data over the past 12months for a potential 'might work' chance scenario...

You could try to rip the dol from the promo copy it self with wii scrubber and than try the alternate.dol in the neogamma loader.

Ok, I'm a VERY basic user in terms of modding consoles.

So can I rip it from the iso or am I going to have to use the original?
Also, is it somewhat straight-forward? And whatre the odds of success?

to make it you must use wiiscrubber:

    -> partition2 -> sys -> mpls_movie -> player.dol

extract player.dol and rename it : (gameid) xxxxx.dol, put this file in alt-dol folder in your sd card and lauch, don't forget to activate it in the game's options!

Above has worked for the Japanese version, i think the pal version is the same....
You can use the ripped ISO file

    (gameid) xxxxx.dol

Would the game ID be RZTP01 or RZTP?
Where do I check for it?

    Sorry for 100 and 1 questions... >.<

edit: And is the alt-dol folder a seperate folder I make on the SD card root? or should it be in with NeoGamma 4 / NeoGamma 5 folder under apps?
