Hacking Wii remote issues with USB Loader GX

I've had a problem where I'll pause any game or leave it sitting for 5 minutes or so, and when I come back, the Wii Remote has automatically shut off. So I go and press A and go back to play, but the game just wont respond to the controller at all. Can't move, can't do anything in game. I can press the home button and open up the Wii menu and everything, but just can't control anything in game. It is really annoying if I have to go to the bathroom, come back, and have to restart the game not being able to save just because of this dumb issue. Any tips?
