Wii price drop confirmed?
According to Nintendojo
According to Nintendojo, A Nintendo conference call revealed that the price of the Wii will drop down to $199 on September 27th. Michael Pachter recently predicted that Nintendo must drop their price no later then November to even attempt to meet sales forecast for the year, and with both the 360 and PS3 both taking price cuts, edging themselves closer towards Nintendo's current price, a drop to $199 definitely sounds reasonable.
If that wasn't enough confirmation, Toys R Us have also started to show off posters detailing the new $199 price point before Nintendojo even confirmed the price drop via the conference call.
