Gaming Wii Position - Vertical or Horizontal?

I'd prefer vertical but because of my layout I'm stuck with horizontal.

but yeh.. horizontal.. only because I cant put it vertically. I own the Wii and a 360. but I'm getting the PS3 soon too then i'll need a new tv stand which will probably change the whole setup

Why wouldn't someone use the Stand?

Maybe if someone lost his/her stand, and they still want to put it vertical.

I have it horizontal since I don't like the idea of having discs spinning while the DVD drive is vertical.

When I use GC controllers, I have to rotate it though. Not fun for the cables in the back, but still better than having the entire thing tip over because someone was a little over-zealous with the pulling.

Why wouldn't someone use the Stand?

The stand takes up unnecessary space; the wii has rubber nubs on the bottom so vertical's not too bad without a stand. Still, it looks way sexier at that DYNAMIC ANGLE with the stand.

It's chilling under my TV in the vertical stand.... Not getting much use out of the thing.
