Hacking Wii opening.bnr editing

ive pulled many of these wads/banners apart ,

i fail however to properly combine the swapped images and sound to create a working new opening.bnr .

what tools and setting are required to make and swap out sound.bin with wav of mp3 of my choice.

@XFlak i see you've made many channels similar to opening.bnr .
can you or anyone please inform me of some tips or guide
to a simple sound.bin creation tool and opening.bnr recreation tool for custom disks?
(i make soundbin' with customizemii loop seems to work)
i used customizemii , showmiiwads, and many u8tools but cant get an opening.bnr back together so it wont freeze my wii.
im sure i am missing the proper settings/knowledge cuz they look fine in bnrPlayer's but freeze wii and dolphin.,
even if i just repack the extracted assets without swapping the tpls inside.

any advice would be appreciated

It's been a long time, but I managed to dig up a few of the original wav files that I injected into my channels (using customize mii). I've uploaded one (mariounderworld.wav by my cousin IRL, Violator) in case it helps you to have it as an example

I noticed that the bitrate on this and the few other wav's I managed to find are all 1411kbps

Then just use customize mii, load a WAD, go to the options tab, next to new sound click Browse and convert to BNS, and then you'll get a screen similar to the screenshot below

edit: after making adjustments click convert. IIRC when I was asked if I wanted to convert stereo to mono I generally said no. Then just packing the WAD with customize mii should work, unless something you've customized is problematic.

yes , the customizemii way is the only way i can seem to mod the sound.bin,
however i want more, a full disk opening.bnr
i do the same it creates a working 00000.app for wad,
when i do opening.bnr every disk fails to load.

wii cs tool , u8tools and showmiiwads all say they packed the files ...

...the produced opening.bnr will show in the bnrplyrs
then freeze after loading the iso

funny how just unpacking and then repacking the opening.bnr breaks it so the disk channel freezes
