Same stuff as ever.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. Another month and another SE remake, but at least it isn't in the Imagine series.

Four elemental Crystals, each possessing awesome power, lie scattered throughout the realm. However, men are quick to covet things which offer strength, and easily corrupted by the might which they possess. Seduced by the promised power of the Crystals, the kingdom of Baron begins employing unprovoked force to seize them from peaceful nations. The dark knight Cecil – Lord Captain of Baron’s elite force, the Red Wings – is ordered by his king to obtain the Crystals, but soon begins to question the monarch's motives. Stricken with grief at his own actions, yet burdened by his loyalty to his country and his personal sense of honor, Cecil at last decides to turn from the path of darkness and destruction. Enraged, the king accuses him of disloyalty, strips Cecil of his command, and sends him off to slay a mysterious beast that lurks in the nearby Valley of Mist. Cecil embarks on a fateful journey that will bring trials, betrayals, friendship, loss and self-discovery. Can Cecil open his eyes and become the man of honor that he must be? Dive into the first RPG to incorporate the innovative Active Time Battle system, now further enhanced and refined for the Nintendo DS. Train and customize Whytkin by playing a variety of mini-games and challenge another player to head-to-head battle via local wireless connection.

Of course its been 3D'd & has other gubbins added to it for those who already played this to death. For newcomers this is when the FF series became great, before they were just decent RPG's.

The first one was actually ok, even though it lacked polish or effort but it has a lot of fans.

Izuna and her gang are back -- and just in time for a wedding! Lured by the promise of free food (Why else would Izuna attend?), the festive event becomes a puzzling mystery when Izuna's sidekick Shino suddenly disappears, off in search of her long-lost sister. And making matters worse, the foreign gods have also arrived on Japanese soil, and they aren't very happy with the meddlesome, unemployed ninja. With disgruntled deities on the warpath, a sidekick to track down, and a missing sister out in the wild, it could all shape up to be one of Izuna's more exciting adventures. Sounds like a lot of work for a girl out of a job!

Not a game and based on the design concept of the MS-10 synthesiser. Which basically means it should be pretty comprehensive.

Known as the KORG DS-10 (musical instrument producers KORG provide the sounds) the software includes two duel-oscillator analog synth simulators, a four-part drum machine and a 6 track/16 step sequencer. Probably most excitingly though in terms of musical possibilities is that several units can be linked and played wirelessly. It's also promised you'll be able to exchange sounds and songs over wi-fi.

XSEED will be the ones bring this to North American shores in October. I want it now.

Another RPG.

Steal Princess puts players in the role of Anis, a bandit who's out to steal treasure from a dark figure known as the Demon King. Anis is rumored to be the princess of her former land, explaining the title: she's a princess who steals.

Previously a PSX only series, now its on the DS.

The game is set in modern times with two high school aged girls as the protagonists. Mobile phones play a key role since the story beings with a chain text message and vanishing friends. Naturally, they have to find them instead of calling the police, which leads to brushes with supernatural forces. Glancing at Twilight Syndrome’s menus there is an option to use cell phones with the L button and the game offers hints when you press X. Twilight Syndrome will be a host to touch screen puzzles and ghosts.

Seems like ages since Nintendo gave us a big hitter (Mario Kart?) and here is a return to one of Nintendo's best franchises, Wario Land and for the first time the series is on a home console (Wario World don't count).

Wario Land: Shake It!, a classic side-scroller for the Wii console stars Wario, the smelly, bad-mannered alter ego of Mario. With the Wii Remote controller turned sideways like an old-school controller, veterans and newcomers alike can run, jump and smash their way through hectic side-scrolling stages. Players shake the Wii Remote to help Wario take down his enemies, empty bags of treasure or cause earthquakes. Best of all, there are numerous stages each offering multiple missions to keep players coming back again and again to unlock everything, collect more coins or just improve their best times.

From the trailers I've seen it looks like a whole fucking case of win, this is the next game I'm gonna buy. Out August 26th Europe & August 29th North America.

Samurai Shodown/Spirits is one of the best fighters you can get, and every fighter deserves this package for their Wii or PS2. Also get that also fighting stick for it.

Celebrate the history of Samurai Shodown Anthology by battling as one of the greatest Samurai of all time. Seven separate adventures that span across the life of the franchise in this incredible collection. The complete collection of the SAMURAI SHODOWN series contains seven games: Samurai Shodown, I, II, III, IV, V, V Special and VI.

So seven games for the price of one budget Wii title, pretty damn good considering that most Neo Geo titles cost a lot of points for one game. No other release date has been announced just TBA 2008.

Will Samurai Shodown have proper widescreen support? I'd rather see borders than stretched.

Never played the Wii version of any compilation.

I can't really find anything that says anything about it other than each game will look the same as the arcade versions.

Also while searching every screen was the same for the PSP/PS2 versions so not sure if the screens are Wii or not.

Ahhhh. Can't wait for the US version of FFIV, and it's finally upon us. I'm so ready to smack the shit out of some flan princesses in English (and understand the new cut-scenes).

Thanks for the write-up Hadrian. [IMG]

I'll buy Wii Music and GH4.

My Wii will remain dormant for now.

I'll try to see if Korg is playable in Japanese, I think the actual setting are in English, but the menus and explanations are probably in Japanese.
