I just played WII Music (JAP) on my wiikey chipped JAP Wii.
As it's both in JAP, i thought the update from WII Music would be good, so I let it update.
I had no problem playing WII Music...

Then when I put in all my old PAL & NTSC-U games that worked perfectly fine before, it gives me an disk error message in a black screen.
It doesn't even load up the game image, and asks me to restart the wii.

When I put in JAP games (NTSC-J), it still works fine. And very very few old PAL/NTSC-U games work.
But almost all PAL/NTSC-U games give out the same error message.

It doesn't seem like it's bricked, but it spits out the error.
Can somebody help me on this? Thanks so much~

Sounds like error #001, "unauthorized device has been detected".

Does the screen have the 001 error number? [IMG]

    Right Behind You! Uh Oh!
funny think i grabed this NTSC-J and played it the other day i did the same thing...However on my NTSC-U 3.2U console it seemed to play Wiimusic and when i go back to my settings IT STILL SAYS 3.2U LOL yet wiimusic plays fine (funny part is if you FORCE NTSC it wont run but if i leave the settings alone in backup loader it loads up perfect some green screen games are like that as well [IMG] strange how that game acts maybe someone will look into it may have another SSBB in that it could be a unique update on the disc.!?
