Hello and thanks 4 read me :):),

I am new to the forum but I have been reading for many years when I have had any questions because I solve many problems but I can not find a solution ...

I have a problem with a wii mini version 4.3 eu.

When bluebomb came out, it was very easy for me and I got to install the chanel homebrew.

the problem is that I installed normal wii cios because I did not know that they were different.

the wii works, but for more trouble also delete the homebrew channel thinking that I could do everything from 0

now there is no homebrew chanel and it does not load the bluebomb.

I connect it or bluethoot and load it, but it does not go beyond the press 1 screen because the remote does not detect me (the one never gets out, it stays frozen there)

I have tried on a normal wii to load the bluebomb with the same remote and it works

I use old wii controller

The truth is I don't know what else to do and I have given it up for lost when hacking it.:nayps3:

Hello and welcome to GBAtemp.

https://wii.guide/ Would have told you how to correctly mod your Wii Mini.

the wii works, but for more trouble also delete the homebrew channel thinking that I could do everything from 0
For the record: "Deleting everything", "Factory Reset", "Format", "Start over", "Start from scratch" or whatever other synonyms there are, will not anything good on consoles.
Metaphor: A house owner notices some damage inside the house. They decide to leave the house, lock the door and throw the key away. How is that supposed to repair the damage or help repairing damage?
In this case:
House → Wii Mini
Something broken → Wrong cIOS
Lock door and throw away key → delete Homebrew Channel
Why does this keep happening? Someday I will lose all my hair because of this!
=============

I hope you installed latest Priiloader (or at least v0.9 or one of its previous beta versions). That could be helpful.

I connect it or bluethoot and load it, but it does not go beyond the press 1 screen because the remote does not detect me (the one never gets out, it stays frozen there)
Please explain this a little better. What is the problem:
a) The "Press (1)" on the scam warning screen never appears.
b) The Wii Remote disconnects and is unable to reconnect although "Press (1)" appears.
Since you mentioned using the Wii Remote on another console: Did you sync it to your Mini afterwards? Does it even connect in System Menu?

It might also be helpful if you tell us what file(s) you installed (file list, do not upload cIOS or any other Nintendo code). I don't think cIOS in high slots (like 249) – like any modern guide should recommend – would do anything bad. Such a cIOS for Wii will not work on Wii Mini for USB loading, but it shouldn't brick anything or impact normal functionality.

Good luck!

Hiii and thank you.

Excuse me for explaining a little badly because I am using a google translator.

I don't remember it very well, I think that priloader is NOT installed on the console.

the failure was installing the cios of hermes, waninkoko, and the d2x, as if it were a normal wii.

I think inadvertently installing the cios in an ios that was not.

I did not load the games well and that is why I tried to install all the cios.

the wii controller is of another white wii, the old one, when starting the wii normally the controller works, the problem is when I load bluebomb. gets stuck on the press 1 screen, does not recognize the remote and press 1 never appears.

I know I've done a lot of wrong things. that's why publishing the post, since I have not seen this problem anywhere.

The closest thing I have ever read in relation to my problem was in a Spanish forum, which was the same and they gave a solution but did not leave files.

It was something like when starting bluebomb instead of loading the boot.elf that has bluebomb, put another one to load a program that can solve this but I have not found any boot.elf that can load differently from bluebomb anywhere on the web .

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

By any chance did you install any kind of forwarder channel on the console (or priiloader as already mentioned in the post above)?

Hello and thank you for your answer, it has been a long time and I decided these days to dust it ...

I don't think I got to install the piriloader, it was just hacked, when I started doing things wrong and I didn't have time to do much to it.

You test that extension thing through a regular usb reader on your pc? Could just be a shit one. Bought one for my 3d printer and it just straight up doesn't work

  • MightyJAK @ MightyJAK:
it can't be plugged into a USB reader (it's made from a regular SD card to USB adapter, but with the USB end modded to a Dreamcast serial plug)

It was working fine before I installed the GDEMU, but now the Dreamcast doesn't recognize it when I boot up Dreamshell.

Can't find any threads about this particular issue on GBAtemp or the wider intarwebz. Saw one video on YouTube that seemed relevant, but it was some dude with the same issue, no solutions offered in the comments. :/
