Gaming Wii making sounds?

When I hover the hand cursor over a wii channel is it supposed to make a hum kinda sound?

didn't notice it before I just got a new lcd.. guess the old tv speakers where kinda broken x.x

I have read a few reports on Hums with the Wii, they all seem to only occur when there is a disk loaded even if it is not being used. Try a USB loader and do away with optical disks completely.

The only other thing I can think of is its the TV. Turn the volume to 0 and see if it goes away. It could be cheap audio/video cables causing the problem.
