We are pleased to announce that BETA HOTFIX v1.9g of the Wiikey firmware is now available to download. Please note that this is a BETA HOTFIX released as an immediate response to feedback from users regarding SMG. It comes with absolutely no warranty or guarantees. Use it at your own risk! Feedback is welcome, but please send your message one time only. We can't reply to every message we get, but we do read all of them.

What burning program should i use for the update? I just the ISO with IMGburn and it didnt work.

Download the fix from their site, it will be in .iso form (3 in the rar file, 1 for each region), burn the PAL iso to a dvd, boot the disk, press A to do the check, A again to flash the firmware, A again when it says to reboot to galaxy and you should be done.

I downloaded the 1.9g update.

I burned the image to a dvd (USA iso)

Updated the WiiKey.

Next i loaded the Mario Galaxy dvd and it performed the update.

The game did not detect any mod chips and the games played perfectly.

Big thanks to the Wiikey team for releasing this update swiftly and efficiently.

Oh.....and Galaxy is absolutely amazing.

Same for me except I get a read error when the castle gets taken up into space during a cut scene a the beginning of the game. I tried switching to 3x but doesn't help.

BTW. Every other game I've ever burned has worked. Every. Using ImgBurn at 4x.

I have a couple of questions about burning this update and Mario Galaxy.
1: Do I have to "shrink" the WiiKey ISO, or is it ready to burn at once?
2: Do I have to use RegionFrii for Mario Galaxy?

I have pal wii with wiikey.
SMG works perfect.
But why is my blue light on in the beginning of SMG ?
Anybody noticed this?
My wiiconnect is off!!!
