Hacking Wii homebrew channel dosent work

Well title says it all, am I missing something, or does it not work?

All I see is this screen: And my wii motes get disconnected so I cant press "A" or "1 + 2"

Thats the homebrew launcher "channel". It's pretty much obsolete....

Okay.. how do I install it without zelda? My wii has a wiikey.. does that help?

just burn the iso to a dvd and run it since you have a chip.
