Essentially, I'm trying to downgrade a Wii to system menu 4.1E from system menu 4.2E after it was accidentally upgraded.
I had a BootMii backup from before, but it was complaining over being from another Wii, so I overrode the check.
However, after I restored from the back-up two things happened:

  • It was still on system menu 4.2E
  • The system menu hangs up after about 10 seconds

I've since managed to get it down to 4.1E again, but it still hangs up after about 10 seconds.
My only fakesigned channel installed is the latest homebrew channel. I had some other ones before that (WiiMC, primarily), but I deleted them with AnyTitle Deleter to see if that would fix the issue. However, the problem still persists, and now i have hit the limit of my wii homebrew knowledge.

Anyone here having a clue about what the problem might be, and/or how to fix it?

Your problem? You didn't listen to it when it warned you. You can't restore a NAND from another Wii.
My problem is, I didn't. The backup was taken on the same Wii.

Do a system diagnostic.
Sorry, what?

sys menu 4.1 uses ios 60

try reinstall ios 60 (use modmii)

Okay, I'll try that.

Also, the report from syscheck is here.

EDIT: Tried that now, still doesn't work.
Use this app to run a SysCheck. Once it's done, open SD:\syscheck.csv with WordPad (not Notepad) and copy and paste the contents into spoiler tags.

You could try downloading Wii Mod, go to the IOSs menu and check if 60 is clean. If it isn't install a fresh copy. If it is clean, try checking IOSs and posting the resulting csv. Does the Wii hang when you start it with the sd card ejected as well?

You really should bother to read previous posts.
