    Hey guys, I'm looking for a Wii cable. Specifically, the Wii comes with a component cable, right? I need to split this into an optical-out (Toslink) nd VGA-out. Where do I buy these? I'm in the UK, before anyone starts giving me 'Wal-Mart' links, by the way. I'm aware that converters exist, like the one below. I'm looking for one that I can pop into a shop and buy on the high street.

    P.S Is this what I'm looking for as an optical-out converter for the wii? http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=29291 (RCA Audio/Video to TOSLink Optical/VGA respectively)

    Thanks.

    The Wii isn't capable by itself of digital optical audio, so you'll have to buy something like the thing you've found on Maplin and a Wii VGA cable.

    I can't believe you created an account just for this comment.

    ON TOPIC:
    The Wii comes with a composite cable, not component.
    Composite -> Red, White, Yellow
    Component -> Red, Blue, Green, White, 5thColor

    View this topic for Composite video -> VGA:

    I'm not too sure about digital optical audio either, but what you've found appears to be adequate.

    Thanks. Just to ask, what type of analogue audio cable does the wii use?
