    Wii Gamecube Homebrew Launcher v0.2
    Load GameCube homebrew
Mega Man has released a tool to run GC Homebrew on an unmodded Wii. It involves installing a modified WAD-file from the Super Mario Galaxy DVD. A new possibility in this version is the ability to boot GC discs and support for the SD card slot of the Wii, without the need for an SD Gecko. One question remains: can this help us booting GC backups on an unmodded Wii? If you know the answer, please post in this topic.

One small step for homebrew, one giant leap towards piracy.

    this is actually very useful.

also clarifying RE: "installing a modified WAD-file from the Super Mario Galaxy DVD"

it is called MIOS. (like IOS except for gamecube stuff)

the MIOS wad isn't only found in Galaxy, it is also found in brawl and probably various other games. Possibly even downloadable from Nintendo's servers (as with IOS).

The answer is yes(as far as I can tell) but the person with such knowledgeable prowess that knows how to do so probably has a high enough intelligence(if he didn't he wouldn't be able to figure out how to do it) to not support widespread massive piracy with unmodded consoles.

I hope they have something for us with "non-modded" Nintendo Wii's.

Are you serious? Did you not read the article? This is for people with non-modded Wiis (as opposed to the probably American "un"-modded, which alludes to the Wii having once been modded)!

Well, it's going to come soon anyway, whatever the means, the only thing we don't know is when.
It wouldn't be a shame, though. Here, even specialized shops have gotten rid of most used GC games.

Alastair : I think he meant "naked" wii, only HB-enabled through TP but owns no anything-gecko. Well, that's what I understood anyway, since right now, this app is gecko-only apparently.

Though there is some confusion in the thread, the readme tells you to use your Wii's front SD port.
