Hacking Wii frozen after clicking letterbomb

Hi, I have Wii system menu version 4.3U and I wanted to use the letterbomb exploit to install homebrew channel on my wii.

However, I think I accidentally chose 4.3E instead of 4.3U on the letterbomb site. As soon as I pressed the letterbomb in my messages, my Wii got frozen. What should I do now to avoid damage/bricking to my Wii?

Would it be safe to just force shut down my Wii?

If it doesn't work try formatting your SD card to FAT32 with 4096 byte sectors, that was my problem when this happened to me.
