Two questions

1. How do you install Waninkoko's cIOS again?

2. We can't play WiiWare and VC games from the System Channel anymore? We can only play them on the SD Card Channel? Why?

So basically, this update object is to "create" a HardDrive into the Wii? 'Cause devlopers were complaining about the space inside the Wii (Rockband)...

Yes you can. Read better... You can play from the system channel AS WELL AS from the SD-card

Can we put other channels on the SD? I mean, like the unnofficial channels?

I see that if Nintendo is launching such a big update, it must have big "holes" in it too ^^

I've got a d2ckey, system menu 3.2, only updates applied are the wii shop (IOS51?) thing, plus got the HBC installed.

Might try waninkoko's 4.0 installer

i don't know. all i know is that you MUSTN'T move your HBC to the sd, or so i read somewhere. you won't be able to copy it back and right now i don't think it's possible to reinstall it with 4.0.

Good to know that. Maybe later someone comes with a way to boot EVERYTHING from the SD... XD

I seem to have bricked my Wii using Waninkoko's Firmware Updaters. Everything was downloading fine at first. However after the Photo Channel I got an error and a black screen. After waiting for a while I tried resetting and now all I get is a black screen.

Is there anything I can do at this point, or am I screwed? Thanks.

Wait. It loads HBC, BACKUPS, VC AND WIIWARE via SD card? Or it runs HBC and Backups via wiimenu (normal way)?

Jus tupdated my wii to 4.0E from 3.2

1. installed cios rev 8 using channel
2.installed patched ios 60. using shop installer
3. updated wii in the system settings.

firmware is now 40.E and everything is working fine. can still run backups, use all previously installed wads, move and run them from the sd card fine. ( haven't tried moving the homebrew channel or gecko os just to be on the safe side).

No problems so far in fact everything seems to be running alot smoother.

wii chipped with wiikey2, hope that helps sopme guys out.

Have you tried using one of those "unbrickers"? They may be working yet. Good Luck!
