I've been playing the Wii pretty consistently for over 10 years. Between emulators, Gamecube games and the Wii library, my console gets a pretty heavy workout. I actually just beat The Last Story for the first time a few days ago. When I look around online, it's like the rest of the "gaming" world has moved on. It's hard to find forums for discussion that aren't completely abandoned, or incredibly slow. Even with the advent of online servers via wimmfi, It's hard to get a game going outside of Smash Bros and Mario Kart. This bums me out because the Wii is probably my favorite console and I would love to find a niche of fans with the same passion for the system. I have a Switch and and XBOX One, but I always come back to the Wii at some point. The library is criminally underrated, the once-booming homebrew scene gave us amazing things like the ability to play foreign-release Gamecube and Wii games, emulators, ability to play certain arcade-exclusives and so much more. I'll admit it has some pitfalls, mostly with the overuse of motion controls in some titles, but it doesn't deter me from spending time with it. Is there any others out there that feel the same? Are you still devoting your time to the little white box?
