what do you guys think of this? http://gonintendo.com/?p=40963#comment-1820944
If a modification is detected, your access to the Wii Network Service may be disabled and/or games may be unplayable until the modification is removed.
At least it ain't a permanent block.
This is probably just to scare people. Nintendo haven't often taken action yet.
how can they even detect if you have a mod? I highly doubt that they can detect if you have the twilight hack installed.
It's not like that caveat hasn't been there for months. I think everyone modding knows the risks already and doesn't need to be lectured on the issue.
What an asshole:

I’ve been rounding up friend codes on pirate sites like GBAtemp and forwarding them to Nintendo, too. Hopefully they’ll take action against the pirates.
I responded with this:
I myself think it’s a good idea that they are doing this (particularly since I think on Wi-Fi there’s a good chance players will be able to cheat if they can load up altered game discs using modchips).
sending friend codes from sites like GBATemp is really wrong. You cannot prove that all the owners of those friend codes have a modchip in their system and are loading up pirated games. Stop trying to be a vigilante as Nintendo will do this work for you, and will do it right without assumptions.
vinikun, you probably shouldn't have said anything. Although you're right, you did nothing more than feed a troll. He probably felt much better about what he did (which, as you said, was completely ineffectual) after you spoke to him.
