if Trucha Signer is ever blocked, there is no way to start editing again :S (in case of any problems)
That isn't true. The Twillight Hack also allows you to do the same and it's virtually unpatchable.

Except if a Zelda save check is made. But the guy who found the exploit said it could be reproduced easily on other games.

The thing is you can't update ur wii anymore after you use the channel remover...Hence if u have lower version of the firmware, once u use it, there is no way you could update your wii. And that sucks. I think I am not going to use it as it will dramatically pose a huge impact on ur wii. Double channel doesn't really that bother me. Until you got the fully and enable-to-update channel remover.

Question: Is it possible to sign the Channels down to a lower version as bevore and reinstall them with a game?

For example: My (US) channels came from SMG and my (JAP) channels came from SSBB
My idea is to sign the channels lower than SMG (US) and SSBB (JAP), then insert the Games (SMG + SSBB) and the channels will be installed like before.

I'm going to say no, with no proof other than some logic...
I missed the point...

Well, that's what I get for using something that SEEMED safe. Now I got a potential brick waiting to happen. Oh well. Hope everything pans out eventually.

So, let me see if I have this all correct. This program doesn't actually remove the channels, it just alters them so that they don't appear. This is done by altering and resigning the channels with the trucha exploit. Once Nintendo releases the update the signatures on the altered channels will no longer be valid and we don't know how the Wii will react to that.

And a lot of our info is coming from here: http://wiibrew.org/index.php?title=IOS37 where he says trucha channels will brick the system which he later retracts.

Did I get that right? I never should have run this thing...:/

I'd say that it is highly unlikely that Wii's will be bricked by this myself , unless you have removed your own region by mistake - as some did in the early days.

Anyone who leeches everything and runs un-approved code on their Wii's , which they've downloaded from a newsgroup; deserves it though, in my opinion

People seem to leave their common sense at the door with Newsgroups.

Well an anti channel remover could be done... by changing the version to something REALLY low and then installing them again by other region games...

And Waninko!
Dont and i mean dont release the source code as it could lead to VERY evil bricking homebrew!

Nope the patched version doesn't even install them.

What a ridiculous statement. Do you know how easy it is to erase the entire flash with already available homebrew tools? The source to this would be much more valuable than to vreate some stupid bricker, which could already be done.
