I have a Wii with wiikey.
I haven't used my Wii a lot, but this week I plugged it in again and played copied games like Mario Kart, Medal of Honor and F-zero GX. But my SSBB (copied) game does not work anymore, it used to work but now it doesn't. I get a black screen with this text 'an error has occurred.press the eject button and remove the disk. then turn the wii console off and refer to the wii operational manual for help troubleshooting' and I have to turn of the Wii. I thought the dvd was scratched and began downloading the game again, but now i wanted to play a copied version of the new bond game and I get the same error. This error appears when the dvd has been in the console for like 10 seconds, even if I dont select the game in the wii menu.
I tried updating, but when I put the wiikey update dvd (1.9s) in I get another error, but it doesn't force me to turn of the wii and the screen stays white, and this error only appears when I select the disk from the wii menu.
What can I do to fix this?

That shouldn't be the problem I updated my Wii and nothing has happened.

Does it still play original games? It might be the drive if it doesn't.

It's a problem if the discs were Trucha Signed.

If you have Starfall installed,DE-install every part of it.
I had the same problem but that did the trick!

Hmmm, if the WiiKey is soldered in there might be something wrong with the solder if it was done by wires (i.e a wire coming off) or your drive just might be dying.

The exact same thing has happened to me.

I upgraded to 3.3U and did the 1.9s update and my DVD5 Brawl copy doesn't work.
