    These are apparently early news of that will feature in Famitsu later today, could be BS (some stuff from the above site is) but meh.

    NEWS
    New Wii colors launching packin with Smash Brothers on 1/24.
    * Price: \35000
    * Red, Diamond Black, Mint Blue, Snow Pink, Famicom colors (limited edition set)
    * Packed with twoo remotes, two nunchucks.

    Super Mario Kart Wii
    * 2/28, for \5800
    * Up to 8-player multiplay
    * Bikes, animals also ridable

    Legend of Zelda: Link's Crossbow Training (** The Japanese for "Adventure" is read 'Daibouken'; the Japanese title for this game replaces that "bou" with the English word "bow", thus both referencing Zelda 2 and making a truly horrible pun.)
    * Releases 2/7 for \3800
    * Packed with Wii Zapper

    Star Ocean 4: First Departure (PS3, X360) 2008
    * Logo, etc. shown.
    * SF3-like release schedule; first volume in a set of 3
    * 4 pages of logo and character illustrations.
    * Volume 2 is "Second Evolution". Volume 3 is "'Til The End Of Time".
    * More info first issue of 2008

    Care to discuss? The colours could be BS, wouldn't Nintendo release them when the Wii sales dip? And would Nintendo really screw MK up with animals, sure we know about the motorbikes, and we've seen cars making the name "Mario Kart" wrong but animals?

    I wanted a new one...but they're all probably unmoddable.
    And ridable animals in MK Wii?
    Sweet.

    I think it's a good idea to get 2 remotes and 2 nunchucks when buying a Wii. New colors would be nice too, but I'm not in the mood to buy a second one anytime soon.

    I'm more interested in that little line. Yet another Japanese game goes multi-platform. Hurray for advocates of the multi-platform choice. [IMG]

    Anyone?...doesn't sound too good to me, but I'm yet to play a bad Mario Kart game so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

    I thought Rare was turning Donkey Kong Racing into Banjo Kazooie Racing?

    EDIT: Oh yeah that was Diddy Kong Flying thing, turned into Banjo Kazooie Jet Flying GBA.

    Ridable animals in Mario Kart.... W.T.F...

    That is lame if it is true, just give us a decent Mario Kart game with new courses and online multiplayer. It worked for Mario Kart DS!

    If Mario Kart Wii turns out to be full of gimmicky crap like that including lame motion controls I'm going to smash my Wii, because I seriously won't have a use for the thing anymore.

    If you guys don't like it then don't use it. It's not like they're removing the actual kart racing. I like how they're giving some more variety for once.

    I know it is the story of the Wii so far IMO. Some people seem to be loving what is being dished up, I'm not enjoying it at all. [IMG]

    I don't understand why are you guys so worried...it's a AAA Nintendo title being released on the Wii, just like:

    Metroid Prime 3 = Awesome
    Twilight Princess = Pretty nice
    Super Paper Mario = Idem
    Super Mario Galaxy = Idem

    I just don't get it.

    I suppose your right lagman, it's just that Mario Kart is one of the main games I bought the system for and if they wreck it by trying to implement too much gimmicky stuff (especially lame motion controls) then I'm going to be super disappointed.

    Hopefully it turns out great! [IMG]

    Well as long as you're not forced to ride the animals theres no problem. A little variety is nice now and again, I do like the idea of motorbikes but the name should really just change.

    Perhaps its just some power up you collect where you shoot an opponent and their Kart turns into a Sloth or something.

    Well the GC Mario Kart was pretty bad. Thank god they redeemed themselves with Mario Kart DS.

    But yeah, Mario Kart Wii sounds like it's jam packed with gimmicks. It should be 'Mario Kart, Motorbike & Animal Riding Wii'.

    Confirmed to be fake. The same topic later says. It seems the Famitsu info was faked. Damn!

    Too bad the info was fake, I'm still waiting on a genuine black Wii. A SNES themed one doesn't sound too bad either... [IMG]

    Good lord, are you on shrooms?!

    Double Dash was one of the best MK titles in the series' history (I personally consider it to be the top MK game, 2nd going to MK:DS, of course). The Co-op system played like a dream, especially when you got 2v2vCPU battles goin'. The multiplayer fun factor was as high as Melee.

    Eh, opinions, I guess...

    Agreed, I'm pleased that Nintendo changed things around for the game, the only problem I had was that the tracks were too short other than that it was an excellent racer that I can still play today.
