These are apparently early news of that will feature in Famitsu later today, could be BS (some stuff from the above site is) but meh.

Care to discuss? The colours could be BS, wouldn't Nintendo release them when the Wii sales dip? And would Nintendo really screw MK up with animals, sure we know about the motorbikes, and we've seen cars making the name "Mario Kart" wrong but animals?

If Mario Kart Wii turns out to be full of gimmicky crap like that including lame motion controls I'm going to smash my Wii, because I seriously won't have a use for the thing anymore.

I know it is the story of the Wii so far IMO. Some people seem to be loving what is being dished up, I'm not enjoying it at all.

Metroid Prime 3 = Awesome
Twilight Princess = Pretty nice
Super Paper Mario = Idem
Super Mario Galaxy = Idem

I suppose your right lagman, it's just that Mario Kart is one of the main games I bought the system for and if they wreck it by trying to implement too much gimmicky stuff (especially lame motion controls) then I'm going to be super disappointed.

Well as long as you're not forced to ride the animals theres no problem. A little variety is nice now and again, I do like the idea of motorbikes but the name should really just change.

Perhaps its just some power up you collect where you shoot an opponent and their Kart turns into a Sloth or something.

Well the GC Mario Kart was pretty bad. Thank god they redeemed themselves with Mario Kart DS.

But yeah, Mario Kart Wii sounds like it's jam packed with gimmicks. It should be 'Mario Kart, Motorbike & Animal Riding Wii'.

Confirmed to be fake. The same topic later says. It seems the Famitsu info was faked. Damn!

Double Dash was one of the best MK titles in the series' history (I personally consider it to be the top MK game, 2nd going to MKS, of course). The Co-op system played like a dream, especially when you got 2v2vCPU battles goin'. The multiplayer fun factor was as high as Melee.

Agreed, I'm pleased that Nintendo changed things around for the game, the only problem I had was that the tracks were too short other than that it was an excellent racer that I can still play today.
