Is it just me, or is Flash removed from the internet channel?.. I just tried viewing some sites that use Flash and it doesn't load. Like on YouTube videos, the part that's supposed to have the flash video now says 'your browser doesn't have flash enabled' or something like that. Is there a fix? [IMG]

hmm, is it because my trial is over? The internet channel is only a trial version right?

Didn't read the link, but wasn't the security issue just for Youtube?

The Flash vulnerability is not limited to any site, I think people may have been confused with what the bulletin said (what they were saying is that the exploit is run from any .flv file, which just happens to be the video format used on YouTube).

The reason some Flash files don't work is because the Wii browser uses Flash 7, just like any other embedded device (No SDK for 8 or 9 has ever been released). Any Flash file designed for Flash 8 or above will work incorrectly or not at all.
I'm not sure what version YouTube targets, but if you're seeing that then they are using 8 or 9.

And there's no trial period or anything for the browser. The initial release was a beta, the the final came out. Neither has limitations, but if you haven't got the final by now, it costs to download.

Lol Microsoft made Internet Explorer, and it sucks. Nintendo went with Opera for the browser, even though they could've gone with Firefox because it's free and better than both :\

    1. Opera is not more limited than firefox, in fact it has alot more features.
    2. Opera is free (on pc)
    3. I am certain if Firefox made a partnership to bring their browser to a conssole or portable device, it would cost money too.

Uhh Opera is free since when? They've charged money for that for as long as I can remember. Opera does NOT have more features than Firefox, also Firefox is more open-ended with a large pool of community developers making excellent additions as well. And if Firefox joined with a corporate entity to make something like the Wii Browser maybe they would or wouldn't, but it would be the corporates to decide it ultimately.

latest version is there. as far as i can remember it's been free.

this pool of comunity developers you speak of, are these the people working on firefox itself? or just creating addons for it?
