Hi. I just got a WiiKey and am looking for ways to load my backups. I know that the Wiikey can boot DVD-R but can it load backups from external hdd or SD?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there's no method to do what you're talking about (yet). The WiiKey is a "drivechip" and only modifies DVD-ROM to accept burnt copies. It'll take a while before the Wii is "truly hacked" and even then, it might never be possible to load backups from a non-dvd source.

I could imagine that they would make homebrew that works like HDAdvance etc for PS2.

And for Wii you could use external USB Hdd ^^

I hope this happens soon! I will run an external 2.5" HDD with a case shaped like the Wii and call it Baby Wii.
