Gaming Wii as media center?

Hey all, i was looking for information on wii, haven't bought one yet, but looking at what it can do since i'm interested in one.

Is there anyway it can be used to hook up through wifi or a router and your PC can become a server of avi/mp3/mp4/divx etc... for the wii to playback on tv?

I have a gameshark disc that would let my PS2 play videos off my pc through ethernet, although support was limited and it couldn't play high res video (think it was like 512x something max) it kinda killed it for me, but only paid 5$ for it so it wasn't the end of the world.

I know since my gameshark disc was bought from best buy this isn't illegal, so figure this might be able to go in "general disscusion"

I use ORB all the time to stream live TV or recorded programs (or movies, or audio, or youtube, or webcams) to my phone.. Easy, and FREE!

Orb doesn't have very good quality, unless it's been improved greatly since I tried it

Works fine for me, streams all my audio and video in a sec to my wii!

Only if you aren't on a local network.. From your computer room to your Wii, it streams locally..
