SHOP CHANNEL AND SYSTEM UPDATE WARNING;

STILL SHOWS AS 4.2

BUT IF YOU TRY TO GET THE SHOP CHANNEL YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO UPDATE YOU SYSTEM MENU

As of now the HBC is still intact,prelaoder and bootmii stayed intact, but do not go to the shop channel to do the update until further instruction is given...

we are hearing just the shop channel internally, but nothing else since all homebrew is still intact.. but we are awiting further words for the final ok.. but without the update, you cant get in the shop channel.. yet why it would take 6 hours to do is anotehr story..

Yep, Shop Channel updated. It would seem this is to allow people who once purchased the Internet Channel to redeem their free NES game or whatnot.

If anyone wants to ask questions feel free as I'm being one of the guinea pigs right now. I've done the update that just happened and now going through the process of restoring cIOS and whatnot (basically going through the restoring homebrew guide on 4.2 verbatim again with the exception of installing DVDX, and HBC again since there's no need)

Update: I'm back in business.

Keep in mind i'm not telling anybody to just go ahead and update and do what I did. I had already updated to 4.2 in the first place and went through the guide the first time so I figured what the hell. Also I don't use cioscorp or anything like that. I'm back up and playing backups in WiiFlow right now enjoying my Wii again while able to visit the shop channel.

Now, there's a Wii Shop Channel update, not the system menu update. So we couldn't go to the Wii Shop Channel until the solution to get this.
