morning ,

noobey question : is it safe to use UNCORP to rid my wii of cioscorp 3.4 ?

or

should i just use the uninstaller supplied with cioscorp 3.4 ?

reason i ask is i heard and read elsewhere that you can brick trying to remove cioscorp if not done correctly

i have a clean bootmii dump of and older 4.0e so i guess as long as nothing screws with bootmii im ok right ?

thankx in advance for any info

oh

Merry Christmas

Read all the instruction and it should work, also you can restore every IOS with DOP-IOS and with NUSD and a wad manager.
But it's all the same, if there goes something wrong your wii can brick.

If your bootmii is installed as boot2 there is no problem, you can restore your Wii with the NAND backup.

Yes, restoring to a clean NAND dump is just fine.

There is currently no reason to move from 4.1 to 4.2, as the only thing added between the two was hacking blocks. There was no useful upgrade, unlike 4.0 to 4.1.

For more info on the System Menu versions, read here:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/System_Menu

In case you're lazy:

4.0 - SDHC support added and possibility to launch channels on an SD card.
4.1 - Fixes a problem related to the Wii MotionPlus video and the SD Card Menu.
4.2 - Intended solely to block hacking/piracy attempts.

There is also zero reason for anyone to be on any System Menu lower than 4.1, so being on 4.1 is the best at the moment.
