I rent this game two days ago, First, I thought it was fun, but with more and more controls issue.. I get frustrated and bring back the game to the club..

You see you wiimote at the bottom right of the screen what position you are, it's great, but your not doing the right mouvement to play it's so frustrating playing this crap!

Blah, it's this year's Wii Play. Figure that if you're buying this packaged with a Wii Remote Plus, it's only $10 extra for a game.

You get what you pay for. What more can I say? :V

----

Not gonna lie though, after picking this up I played a little bit and it's not too bad
if you're super-casual

no doubt it feels like work; why would I want to play this game? I just got a Wii Remote Plus.

Great advice from a great man.

Just because IGN said it... that doesn't make it true

Uhh... not exactly. I mistakenly quoted BiOSHOCK as saying that, but BiOSHOCK actually quoted IGN. So, IGN thinks this game is crap, and BiOSHOCK apparently reposted that

I watched a trailer for this game, and it does seem pretty crappy though.

I for one think it is a pretty good WiiWare game. The controls work well imo, especially when you tab the A-button when you do the next swing. There`s also verity in the level-design. Like I said I think it`s a pretty good WiiWare-like-game.

I also don`t think that there is a chance that the game would be worth a retail release, since it`s pretty short, but here in Germany the WRP-controller alone is sold for 48,99€ and FlingSmash with the WRP-controller is sold for 54,99€. So if I calculated correctly the game in itself is sold for 6€ (8$)...

8$ for this game is imo a bargain!!!

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
