A few weeks ago I played and finished the Other M.
It was OK, I enjoyed it inspite of a few flaws, and I even went for the items collection re-play.
It left me with more hunger for Metroid, so I digged the Trilogy and deciced to replay the first Metroid Prime ( which I hadn't played on Wii yet, but finished on the GC nearly 10 years ago ! ), after all the game on the Wii has a proper widescreen support, slightly higher texture (compared to the GC ) and Wii remote pointer controls, how could I go wrong ?
In fact I just finished to play MP yesterday evening at 93% of collected items. Not bad !
In the mean time yesterday, I also acquired The Force Unleashed II and put it on my HD, but I didn't want to play it until I finished MP.
After I finished MP yesterday, I played for about an hour with SWTFU2, and to my surprise, the graphic on this game ( and the frame rate ) are f##ing terrible compared to the 10 years old Metroid Prime for the GC !
My point is, how can it be, that a game released in 2010 for the Wii, has worse graphics that a game released in 2001 for the GC ?
I'm not a graphic whore, I usually praise the gameplay ( which in this case is boring and repeatable ), but come on, I was expecting a little bit more of this.
And don't tell me the Wii can't handle it, I was just yesterday appreciating how visually stunning MP still is to this day, and then I popped in this piece of underdeveloped crap.
How lazy have programmers become ?
Or is it the same lame excuse that if you want better graphics you should get a 360ps3 ?
