I tired the DS version but didn't like it much, somehow it seems more fun on the Wii, it's more of an rpg version of a boardgame? =P Like Mario Party without the minigames.
as the above poster said, its like mario party but with some RPG elements and no minigames, and its quite fun, played the US version when it as released and liked it
US version came out like 2 years ago, here's the release topic for some more info on the game.
Bought the US-version, love it
No fun unless you're actually playing it with someone though, and are at least three people - preferebly four since the AI ain't much fun to compete against.
Edit: oh, and since the manual can actually be pretty handy to have for this game - I've scanned and uploaded it here.
Does anybody know why the PAL version is 3GB?
The NTSC release was only 600MB.
Probably... LANGUAGES! Though that's a complete guess.
Great game though. Prefer the Wii one to the DS one for sure. Job changing. The Map is basically the real world map for the Wii one. And the voices, by god the voices. This game doesn't take itself seriously. It's awesomeness. Z Plague!!!
But 2,4 GB just for text translation? The audio is still English only.
I also noticed that they changed the transition effect. Thats why I wanted to know if anybody knows if anything else was changed/improved.
I didn't play the Pal version yet, but I looked in the game files, as in the US version, nearly everything is in only one file of roughly 430MB, they didn't "translate" the game in the PAL version, the made 6 versions of it !
That means 6*430MB, the only stuff not duplicated is the introduction movie (80MB), sound files and some others very little files.
Wow, what a waste of space.
Why duplicate so many files? Is there a reason behind it?
I guess it was easier to translate like that, instead of modifying the game to really support 6 languages.
They had far enough space to do it, so they had no reason to do it the hard way
