Activision game on Wii, ripping off an existing game franchise, featuring characters from a crap kids film plus zero talk about it from the people who made it.

Not sounding good.

However its developed by Sidhe. They did GripShift for XBLA which was a pretty decent racer. They also did Speed Racer for the Wii which was actually pretty decent. They also did Jackass: The Game on PSP which is far better than it has any right to be.

Based on the developer, it could be decent but then we already have a ton of decent games to play anyway.

Dash wasn't a kart racer, though. Well, I thought it was.

Kart racers are cash cows because they can be goofy and kids can play them. Mario Kart is an excellent series and the original Crash Team Racing was really good, but most kart racers fall short.

The only one that was any good was Crash Team Racing on PSX, better than Mario Kart 64 for me.

Anyway its nothing new at all but the quality has certainly upped slightly, even MySims Racing wasn't too bad.

Agreed. Crash Team Racing was a great game, as were all of the classic Crash Bandicoot games. I liked Sonic R a tiny bit though (Mainly for it's soundtrack), but it was a very unbalanced game in terms of character stats.

BTW I tried this one and can safely say it`s a moderately good Mario Kart clone. Not bad at all, of durable- of course, not stellar- quality and quite playable. Much better than dozens of those horrible movie-based games.
