anybody ever heard of this?
Check out :
Its a long awaited follow up to a pretty famous Arcade classic. It first appeared on the PS2 as Rygar: The Legendary Adventure...7 years or so ago and it was pretty good mindless fun back then but now it seems to have aged a bit, like most PS2 games.
The Wii version was supposed to be out in 2007 but for some reason it was delayed and finally came out in Feb this year in the US. The camera is worse and none of the issues from the PS2 game have been addressed, even though they could have. There is pretty much no reason for this game to be ported to the Wii, especially when there is no new content at all.
I guess you could say its "meh" on the Wii but I guess it depends on how many of these sort of games you have played. Some people liked that Soul Calibur Legends game (cant say I did), this is a lot better than that.
From the videos is actually looks like an enjoyable game.
I'll have to check it out.
holy shit! I loved this game on the ps2.
must play this now~!
EDIT: IGN and GameSpot gave it a 6.0 - 6.5 just because it's an "old port of a 6 years old game".
Not fair. Why didn't they give Chrono Trigger DS a 6.0? Isn't it a 9 years old port?!
14 years old. Nothing IGN makes sense to be honest.
Saying that Chrono Trigger is a timeless classic that is just as good now as it was then, while this game isn't. Also the DS version did actually add some new content too.
I think its more acceptable to see a old game on the DS, especially as most "new" games look about the same. Still a pisser that SE charged full price for it though, money for old rope eh?
Rygar is also timeless
Released in the arcades around 1986
Released on Consoles around 1987 (NES) and later on a few others
23 years old game, so Rygar is a timeless classic in my eyes (i do preffer the arcade version, so i do hope it is somehow incorperated in the wii version as a secret)
Yeah the original, for me most 3D games age badly which is a shame.
think the us release was about a year ago
still haven't tried it out , wich is sad to be honest
Actually I'm playing the snes version of chrono trigger on my wii coz I dont find any good game to play, the game is still great and it has nothing to do with being ported to a partable console or not.
Soul calibur legends was way better than this.
Wow, some of you guys missed it ?? It was out in the USA version few months ago, I think. The Pal version is late.
you can't spell ignorant without I G N!
so don't listen to other people's reviews, just watch gameplay and try it yourself
I've played through it twice and it's great. Doesn't take long to beat but is a lot of fun.
Wow, the PAL release was sure late this time! lucky me who played the NTSC version a long time ago
Reminds me of devil may cry
It's one of the most underrated Wii games IMO
The music and boss fights are especially good.
Looks nice, I'm going to check it out!
kinda reminds me of god of war
Nothing beats the original for NES:
One of my all time favorite NES games!
