I realise its french, but whats the chance it contains any English text options?

EDIT: should probably make this clearer.

Example: the japanese release of metroid, when the contents of the game where extracted, contained english text, which was made into a patch and allowed english text to be read through the jap release.

My question is: does anyone think the same could be true for this?

None. French is the only language stored on the disk.

The disk contains an update (3.1E+IOS37+IOS38+IOS53+IOS55), and the game requires IOS53.
Anyway, it can be launched on a standard 3.2E without update.

    Brickblock it.
Use IOS Patcher to replace IOS53 with IOS36 in the tmd.bin file.
If necessary, use GWP to remove errors #001 and #002 in the main.dol file.
    It works fine like this.
