I've heard it's misleadingly advertised as a new game, when it's really an upgraded version. Kinda like Rygar in that regard but different.

Its actually more of a downgrade, I played the US version last year. Looks a lot worse compared to the GC/PS2/Xbox version. Controls are horribly broken too. Do yourself a favour, if you are interested in a 3D Pitfall game, get the original called Pitfall: Lost Expedition and run it through the GC back up loader, its a lot better than this.

They made this look WORSE than the original? WTF?

I downloaded a PC rip. It works sans the music. Fun game, but it's slow on my PC. Underrated game IMO. Reminds me of the Crash Bandicoot games a LOT.
