Played the Japanese version, wasn't impressed.

WiiFit was crap, Wii Play was crap & now this. Nintendo needs to rethink how they do these titles, even if they do sell very well.

Hadrian!!! I didn't expect that you would say something like this. I mean I hardly ever disagree with your opinions, but here I have to firmly disagree. Why do you think Wii Fit crap????
Well, I can think of an argument why it's most certainly NOT crap. Because since the last couple of weeks I've been doing yoga and muscle exercises on Wii Fit, because of my back aches and RSI problems. And it helped me a lot. I'm not what you would call "the sportive type", but because of the interactive and gamelike content Wii Fit really keeps me coming back.

So in a sense you're right that Wii Play was rather crap (but you did get it with your second wiimote), Wii Music I think is uncomplicated fun for a while, but it wears off rather quickly. But Wii Fit is a great fitness tool with some fun little minigames thrown in.

Wii Music is great unless you have no creativity, in which case you should stick to "Simon Says" games like Guitar Hero.

If you think Wii Music is all mindless waggling, I dare you to download this game and re-create the following:

I found this game fun for a while, indeed, if you're creative you can do some cool stuff, searching on youtube you can find a lot of cool videos people been making.. I unlocked everything in the game, made some arrangements (I tried making a samba version on Zelda, didn't worked very well, it's hard to make samba with 2 percussion instruments only), but games centered on creation are not really my cup of tea, I get tired of them quickly. I think, if you're into music and like creation games.. stuff like Mario Paint, the Spore Creature Creator, etc.. you might enjoy this.

Wii Fit = Pushups and Yoga you could do without an expensive board
Indeed you could, but getting motivated for it is hard for some people, Wii Fit helps that.. not to mention it helps following your progress.

QUOTE(agentgamma @ Nov 13 2008, 08:49 AM) Wii Music = Random Wiimote Waggling
Please, play the thing before saying anything.. it's definitely not just random waggling, making something sound good in that thing is harder than it looks.

I don't think brickblock works here.
I didn't work with japanes or US version of the game.

run it through Gecko OS and it shouldn't ask you to update

Do I have to do that?
Can't I just do it as a normal game?
And will that work with every PAL game?

And does this need the Wii Balance Board for the Drum practice part?

Agreed. Do we have to go through gecko?

And just wondering, if I don't do homebrew, is there any harm in updating to 3.3E?
