Filename: fatal-ddrhp2.rar...

Has anyone managed to get this working with non-official dance mats? I've got three mats, one Konami that came with the original Hottest Party and two other, different, third party mats.

The game will acknowledge that all three mats are plugged in but only input from the official mat is recognised. It's definitely not a game setting, and it happens whatever port they're plugged into (all three mats use the gamecube ports). They all work fine with the HP1, both NTSC backup and PAL original.

I'm running NTSC HP2 on a PAL wii.

Any ideas?

My Nintendo pad works fine, but that's to be expected. I love the Mii's being included in this one . . . I never looked so good dancing before. Was the "Bust a Move" video in the background on DDRHP? I don't remember that - I'll have to go back and check. It will unlock everything you have obtained in DDRHP if you have the save file on your Wii.

This is bizzare! I've just tried it on a different wii with a different modchip and get exactly the same results.

maxpouliot, are you running this on a PAL wii or NTSC?

I still don't know why the cover is so blue and cold if it's called Hottest Party. Was the same with the first game. I mean, what?

I just tested it on my european wii (using freeloader) with a third party dance mat and it didn't work for me either

At least I'm not the only one...

I've also tested the game using standard wavebird controllers and it won't register them either. Literally only the official Konami pad works, which is very strange, you'd think this is basic technology that all does the same thing.

Could they have some way of detecting that the game is running on the wrong region and filtering to only use the official pads, presumably to confound pirates? Not good for those that have imported the game and expecting it to work with their other pads though!

It's happening to me too. My third party dance mat isn't being recognized at all by the game. When I go to register guests it doesn't even show as connected and I tried all four game cube ports. Spent like half an hour searching through all the possible options to see if i could change it but I failed to find any way to.
