    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!!

    YOU ARE SOOO DUMB!

Every year EA Sports releases the new edition of their games like Fifa, Nba, Nfl, etc with the next year in the name.

In a couple of weeks Nba 2009 and Fifa 2009 will come out too.

    LOOOL!!

[IMG] Ugh! I hope the box art doesn´t reflect the graphics. Looks as if I´ll be able to tack my ugly mug onto one of the players.

I'm waiting for Madden 09... or a Canadian Football Leauge game, which I know will never happen.

I loved last year's Madden 08 on the Wii, even with the bugs, so I decided to try this out. First of all its absolutely hideous... I seem to remember Madden looking nicer than this by far (grass textures, for example, look non-existent, just alternating sections of dark green and light green between the lines.)

No online play whatsoever, you can only see three plays on the screen at a time which makes it really slow to pick them (it might have been like this in Madden, I can't remember), the game defaults to all-play mode even with a nunchuk plugged in, defaults to 3 minute quarters (I thought 5 minutes was the standard), and is too easy defensively, though I did throw a lot of picks on offense. This is on the 2nd hardest difficulty, I believe it was called All-American. Also, they seemed to change some of the motions just enough to mess with me. For example, to pass, you have to hold down the receiver's button as you throw, rather than pressing it once and then throwing. Some of the before-snap buttons have been changed yet again as well.

I realize that the first Wii Madden game didn't have online either, but that was a better product than this as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully Madden hasn't taken a step back in 09 on the Wii.

As for the positives, I like the jump the snap feature. The icons for each receiver turn green when they're open, and red when they're covered, that's helpful for less experienced players as well. And it appears that most of the bugs in Madden 08 on the Wii aren't in this.... though many of them were in online play, which this doesn't even have.

ON the positive, my younger kids found this game enjoyable. Maybe it was just the mascot mode though....... lol
