i thought the US version of Dogz 2 was a localisation of the Japanese game "The Dog Island", anyway? or maybe im wrong, i dunno, it's hard to tell with all these petz games that are just unrelated games with the name slapped on them.

No, The Dog Island was #0150. This appears to be a dupe or proper of #0471.

Can someone translate the title on the boxart? We know it's Petz Dogz 2 in English, but there seems to be too many letters for that to be the full Japanese name.

thats just a repost. 471 was the same release. Catz and Dogz (J) both released on 19th by SQUARE.
