I'm converting it to PAL and burning it on a disc. In the next 10 mins I'll let you know if Pal works.

.... 10 Mins later - heres the answer.

Guess what ..... NO

As usual the menu comes up but the screen just goes blank and the disc continues spinning. My play history shows that I played the game for 2 seconds today.

Used Pal Wii with Wiikey - game converted to Pal using RegionFrii 1.21

Another Verbatim coaster.

Solidstate when you burned your copy did you burn at 4x & did you try playing the game
at 50hz & 60hz as there is few games now where people thought they didnt work when they did
rolleyes.gif

Wii #0202 - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Europe)
Wii #0199 - Ratatouille (USA)

Usually 9 times out of 10 its not the brand of disc you use its the speed you burn it at
that makes the game not work

I know some regions wont work no matter what you do just wondering?

As far as the crazy questions go -

Yes I always patch my US games - the inbuilt region free patching on the Wiikey is flaky to say the least so I don't rely on it - it takes 5 secs to patch a game - so why not do it?.

I run my Wii at 480p via component - but I've tried all 3 video options.

I know how to burn DVDs (been doing it since the last century) - I always use Verbatim and burn at 2x for games on my Pioneer 111 burner - but if anyone else wants to burn a coaster on this POS game - feel free.
