I own Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 for the GCN. It's a solid, and great fighter even if you're not a fan of Naruto.

The Shippuuden is considered a new anime, episode 1 and 2 just aired recently. The Naruto Anime is officially ended.

Ive been buying the bootleg episodes off of ebay... it got to a point where he left naruto and sasuke and then it got watered down with fillers... does the shippuuden pick up where that episode left off and bring the animation quality back up to where it's supposed to be?

By the way, the game looks cool but frantically throwing and spinning your arms around looks kinda .... zany. I think i will be using the gamecube controller on this one

I haven't watched Naruto anime in a long time, been reading the manga though. But if my guess is right, Shippuuden is the actual continuation of the manga story instead of all the filler arcs where Naruto goes off training with Jiraiya and comes back to the village after 2 years.....and Sasuke has been training with Orochimaru this whole time. They're all a bit more grown up now. At least that's what I can guess from seeing the cover of the Shipuuden game.

Shippuuden goes back to the original story.

Anime wise, it's after the sasuke vs naruto fight @ the waterfall (ep 135), when the war is over and everyone returns to the village.

So you can disregard ep 136-220 (they suck anyway).

From what I read, the number of characters are much less than GNT4...

As Krnz said, the story goes back to the original story.
That's why there are only 14 characters. :'(

I got Gekito Ninja Taisen 2, 3 and 4 and i loved all of them, and i hope this will be as good as the old ones.

What about the "Quests" in this version ?

P.S. it this playable with a Gamecube or Classic controller ? i really hate the Wii controler (in the beginning i thaught its good but for many games it sucks, at least in my opinion)
