I read a bit about JikesRVM, but I've got no clue what to do with this sofar ??

Did you try rename the extension to .wii and unscramble?
I assume the RVM was meant to stand for ReVolution Media kinda like .GCM for GameCube

Good idea! So I just tried, but without any good result. :'(
I renamed to .wii and used Unscrambler04 : this says "no seed found for recording frame 0" and stops, created a .iso of 0 bytes size.
I renamed to .wii and used RawDump 2.0: this says "error unscrambling file"
I renamed to .wod and used RawDump 2.0: this says "error unscrambling file"

The release info says, it is not a raw dump. So, maybe it is already an .iso? I tried with Alcohol120%, but it did not recognize it as an .iso.

its already an iso that is unscrambled just change the extension to .iso and then burn with img burn and it works flawlessly.
