    hey guys
the flow released 3.69/3.70 hack exploits trinity recently. it need to login PSN account and download any psp game perviously.
i was curious that why it need PSP games? not Vita games same as H-encore last summer?

i remember that it was convient for transfered exploit files into vita's official memory card if we use another hacked psvita as a memorycard's adapter.

Two possibilites (haven't checked if a writeup of the exploit is available).

Possibility one: it needs escalation from an exploit found in the PSP emulator (given the process, not too sure about this one though).

Possibility two: PSP game bubbles (when installed from PSN) use a different encryption and security check than PSV games, therefore it's easier to replace decrypt/recrypt an app, compared to a PSV one whose encryption cannot be reversed (yet, or on a non-modded system).

    yeah, you are right.
anyway. do you know if we were use epsp bubble installer to creat a pspgame icon in 3.60 henkaku console, and delete id.dat on root folder. then take it out to insert another 3.70's console. is it possible to be appeared in 3.70‘s home menu?

It uses a vulnerability in the PSP side, it's a sandbox escape.

It is a epsp jailbreak, the chain starts within the psp environment.

You cannot boot unlincensed games on ofw.
Psp games require a valid license and you cannot generate one.

Yup, you're right, there is obviously an ePSP jailbreak, I should've thought it better.

Since we still have to replace a PSP app to make it runnable, I got confused about the level at which the exploit really started.

    thanks guy. i got it.
some chinese found a special way to build a psp bubble in model PCH-2009, like use epsp installer to create a psp bubble in another jailbreaked vita console.
although chinese mainland PSN store haven't any psp games but it can get a valid license.rif from a free theme to replace the psp's.
finally copy trinity's pboot.pbp into psp bubble's folder in vitashell.

this psp bubble can be output into PC in qcma for sharing.

What about model PCH-100x series? The PCH 200x are the Slim version and the PCH-100x is the fat oled.

You should be able to just download a psp demo from the shop, unless sony have blocked that already.

If you backed it up from your Vita and it's still connected to the same PSN account that you backed it up with, then you should just be able to follow the Trinity instructions. Are you stuck?

No I'm not stuck. I've downgraded all my Vita's from 3.70 to 3.65. But I guess I don't need the psp demo anymore but I've backuped it on my pc.

No, once you've downgraded then you don't need it. You can keep it on your pc if you like, it might come in useful but I doubt it. After the downgrade it will disappear from the vita live area, but I think it's still installed. Check in content manager, I had to delete it to free up the space.

yeah, just as I thought. And the demo is just hidden because it was installed on higher firmare and once downgraded, it will still be on the vita but hidden. TheFlow mentioned that. But ye, removed it to free up the space on the memcard.

I'm not sure that is the whole explanation as I had other software I had installed from PSN when I was on 3.70 & that didn't disappear.

The h-encore was patched. What was NOT patched is the PSP Trinity exploit.
It's basically an exploit that exploits a glitch, allowing to escape the PSP sandbox.
