Why Sega making lazy American box arts on the Master System?

Hi,I currently checking my Master System directory on my SD card for Sonic games, and when I searched Game Gear games on Sega Master System,I just thinking. "If Japanese Sega Master System Box Arts are better than American?" So I searched SMS box arts,and it really bad that designers are very lazy on the box arts? Why Sega do that? Why they not improve and to be something like Genesis,32x or Sega CD like?

Sega's iffy American marketing was led by unattractive boxes and cartridge labels.

They arguably struggled simply to clarify the console's name to newbies.
Depending on the retail package you saw first, one might think it's called Master System, Base System, SegaScope 3D System... or even Power Base, since the Power Base Converter only mentions Master System in the fine print.
