Why isn't the vita flooded with AA games?

The vita was marketed pretty horribly. It's superior to the 3DS in every possible way (including game library, while smaller it still has a very solid lineup of games that obliterate 3DS game quality), but the price point was a bit too high for general gamers. I'd say they were a tad ahead of the game. Parts weren't cheap enough to get the ball rolling. Even the 3DS was a failure until they dropped it, what, $100? Only problem is Sony couldn't really do that since the vita actually runs on more than a potato and some pennies.
The 3DS was also marketed heavily towards kids, and there's a lot of damn kids out there.

Poor sales = less games. It's a sad reality but it's not like the Vita is lacking. There's tons to play on it.

Sony hasn't released Vita sales numbers in years, while at the same time they just love to tout their PS4 figures. There really isn't any way to spin that into anything that would throw a good light on the Vita.

Still why sony?
