Hacking Why is my cia install speed so slow?

I use sandisk 64gb sdhc 40MB/s, I left it for 3 hour and it's up to only 23%. The cia is devil survivor 2 undub with size around 3-4gb. where did I go wrong?

thats odd. been using transcend class 10 and a 2gb+ file like will just took me 30 mins or so

maybe compatibility issues. is the SD card uses UHS-1 technology?

DevMenu installation is horribly slow. I heard BigRedMenu is faster.
Still, it should be faster than that. Are you sure your SD card is original?

I'm formatting the card rn to fat32 with a speed of 23-24 MB/s, it will takr around 30 minutes. Is that normal?

That is bahavior of a fake card. I'd send it back if I were you. Real cards take mere seconds to format even 32GB and 64GB format under 30 seconds on a Windows PC. Sometimes it actually is worth paying full-price for a legit SD card. I never buy mine online, always Walmart. I can buy a 32GB card for around $24 flat. (I get a 10% employee discount, but it only takes off the tax).

Copying a 3.6 gb files to the sd card took around 2 minute with a speed of 27MB/s, this is using my laptop built-in card reader.

If this is fake I'm gonna complain tomorrow and see if I can get my money back.

BBB on O3DS is slow as hell, but that is too much perhaps.
It took around 10h for me to install 30GB of CIAs on a completely legit Samsung EVO Class 10 microSD with adapter.
This same card tops the USB2 speed on my laptop at around 30MB/s.
Anyway your card is topping the USB2 speed on your notebook too, it can't go faster because that bottleneck (and it is already going VERY fast).
I don't think your card is fake, but your O3DS is a slow PoS (like very O3DS).
Let it install and go watch some movie, party, and etc. Be used to the gatewaiting.

Switching to big red menu and it doesn't show any sign of installing anything? I pressed a on the 3.6 gb cia and it just freezes

If I remember correctly, I installed the fantasy life cia (around 800-1gb iirc)

And it didn't take that long either..

BigBlueMenu is not slow in the slightest, I don't know where people are getting their info from. Ryo_kun format the card using sdformatter then run it through h2testw to ensure the card has no errors and is not fake.

I am getting my info from:

Do what I suggested then try installing the legit mk7 cia its roughly 700mb

My cia's the problem indeed. I remember trying to convert it to .3ds before. That ought to be the culprit. thanks guys!
