Why is *insert name* banned/suspended?

In case you have not noticed it is mostly the well liked and funny members that get banned. Now thus far they have all broken the rules too many times or were ejected for generally being disruptive to the good times, however it could happen that the staff have become opposed to said funny and popular people, possibly because they themselves are not, and we have to be ever vigilant for that. To that end public inquiries on the nature of bans need to be had.

As terrible as the facepunch forums are, they had a nice feature where you could look at a banned user's profile and see the post they were banned for. IIRC, if it wasn't a post they were banned for, a brief synopsis was posted.

Members are never a banned over a single post, and the synopsis of why they were banned is almost always "persistently and unrepentantly being a dick", so there's no point.

I know, I was just saying. This forum is pretty lenient. A ban over one bad post out of many good ones is just ridiculous.
