Hacking Why is gateway NAND backup like 2 times slower on N3DS?

I downgraded from 10.3 on New 3DS to 9.2.0-20. Running nand backup in gateway menu compared to the same operation on old 3ds seems like 2-3 times slower.

Does this have something to do with how the system in being exploited compared to the vector on the old 3DS units?

Because the New 3DS has a NAND that's around twice as large as the old 3DS.
