I think Nintendo said they won't release better versions od the 3DS i.e DS Lite

That's what they said with the Wii tho
The Wii U isn't a ds lite, dsi XL kinda thing.

It is a all new system like the 3ds.

Already have and already playing games.
I don't have screen scratching nor wobbly top issues.

3D means you have width, length, and depth
The 3D movies (that outwards depth) ONLY work when your wearing the glasses because of the fact that the point where you normally see the movie without 3D is used as a base in which the 3D goes out (using the glasses) and then goes in (using your natural sense of depth but the glasses focus it in much like the 3DS does without having the need for glasses) therefore unless you love to wear 3D glasses in public and would love to PAY nintendo for a pair that are specially made to work with both the 3DS's Depth and a 3D movie like depth we wont see any 3D coming outwards. Also if you've ever looked on the box it says STEREOSCOPIC 3D. all the interviews they called it STEREOSCOPIC 3D. They never said "HEY GAIZ DIS 3D JUS LEIK WHUT U c IN DA MOVI3ZZ!!!" they called it a different type of 3D.

1. Not enough money
2. No flashcard yet
3. Still busy with DS

If I have enough money now, I won't go for the 3DS yet, I'll buy a Wii for my own. Maybe I'll wait for the redesigned 3DS, 5 or 6 years later

3DS 3D pops out. It's the developer's choice on what kind of 3D they are going to use.

Some example of 3D pop outs:
Go to the activity log in the main menu and you'll see the pencil fly out.
In zelda OoT, when Link gets a new item from a chest, then he holds it up, (or any scene where he holds an item up) the item spinning comes out.
Take a picture of your dick (or finger.. but where's the fun in that?) pointing towards the 3DS. Might take a few shots, depends on the angle.
Have a look at that thread here in the temp where they take screenshots of movies and see it in the 3DS.

So anyway, If you can't see that, then you may have a problem with 3D.

I'm pretty sure Stereoscopic 3D is the one they use in the cinema

First of all the price where I live is quite absurd (still around 289e, give or take 10e). Only place I've been tempted to buy it from is CDON.com which has it for around 219e (someone could point me to a new direction with cheaper consoles than this). I payed 199e for my DSiXL when I bought it but it was a limited (sort of) red DSiXL and had a game with it.
Secondly the game lineup is quite disappointing since the only game I'd like to play is OoT and that is something that I've already played on the previous generation with the original game (don't think that I won't eventually be getting OoT since it's apparently quite a good remake of the original).
Thirdly the problems with first revs of consoles tend to be a bit bigger than second revision, but you never know. Maybe they got it right the first time around.
Fourthly did I mention the price? It's not a problem for me to get the money needed for it but consider this: I just bought a new PS3 and a new Wii at 294 euros so go figure why the 3DS would be worth the extra 300 when I already have a DSL and a DSi XL (thus the GBA/DS game library at my disposal + possible homebrew emus).

But considering I also ended up buying the DSiXL before long even though my DSL worked (not counting the L and R buttons that had started to have problems when playing a triggerhappy game like MW), I'll have the console in the end.

First and foremost, I have absolutely no money. I can't even treat myself to a $5 movie, much less a $250 game system. In the mean time, I managed to scrape together $60 a few months back for a PSP and have been enjoying it a lot. Even if I start getting bored with playing PSP games, I have the wonderful emulators to fall back on. Pretty much a win/win.

There aren't enough games to get me to buy it, even if I had the cash. OoT 3D is not nearly enough for me to want to buy a handheld that I would be going legit with. Even with hacking, at this point, it wouldn't be worth it. At most, if it did get hacked, I would just want it for the emulators and homebrew.

The price just blows. This is another case of "even if I had the cash," but the idea remains. $250 for this, when a machine with superior hardware will be sold for the same price and NOT at a loss feels off to me. I think that Nintendo may be trying to milk this for all that they can, and although it is kind of common, it doesn't feel right coming from a company that prides itself on how accessible its systems are price wise to all.

That's basically it. Maybe once the price drops, I have a Vita, and a game collection I want to own is available, I'll consider jumping on this. For now, I feel fine not having one at all. The little bit of nostalgia I felt from the idea of playing OoT 3D has already dissipated almost completely, and the minor want I had for a 3DS has gone with it.

They never said exactly if they are selling at a loss or not. Even if they say they don't, they could be lying, but even I doubt they lie about that.

We don't have the final-final answer to that question, but the way we are projecting it seems like we're going to do pretty well.

It is too dodgy.

I believe some the specs are wrong, but this is the closest I can find.

I didn't think the 3ds specs are that far behind, other than the graphics/power.

I am pretty sure that Vita will beat 3DS on power as well.

They aren't pulling a PS3. They are using technology that isn't incredibly expensive. If they can't break even at $250 for the handheld, nobody will really care. They already set the price, and changing it even six months before is a potential deal breaker for hundreds, probably thousands of units. With hardware being 98% done, I think it's fairly obvious that they are going to hit the goal, as the networking side of things they mention won't begin to affect the price of parts.

The PSV is going to be kind of like the the PS3 compared to the Wii from what I'm seeing right now. While Nintendo will be relying on titles and a gimmick to sell the system as to compensate for the fact that they seem to refuse to put the best hardware in that they could that is still reasonably priced (common Nintendo, and consumers like it), Sony is going to continue to deliver what sells systems for them, better hardware, better enabled software, and a reliance on this combination to have third party developers really push out something fantastic while they throw their title on games that they buy rights to every now and again.

We've already seen what the PSV can do, and it blows what has been shown for the 3DS out of the water. It isn't just graphics either. There are the parts there to make the game play smooth and beautiful, with all the right effects. That isn't to say the 3DS is a worse system, it is just that Sony has done what they love to do, and have pushed to make the most powerful system in its category for this generation.
