i used Banner Bomb on 3 Wiis, the lego indiana jones hack on 1
one of the Wiis, white, i bannerbombed it and it bluescreened.. i gave up softmodding and returned a long time after.. and used Banner Bomb again. it was crashing, Dios Mios wasn't working properly and needed a wii disc inserted to even have a chance of playing a GC game (wii games play just fine)
well, i got a new Wii.. so i formatted the old one, upgraded the system menu to 4.3U and lego indiana jones hacked it (got lucky it didn't brick)
its still the same.. not really working properly
i'm going to remove iOS 240-248 and 251 because they're not installed in any of the working Wiis

my newer wii, black, i used Banner Bomb and my friends Wii i used banner bomb. same EVERYTHING. i just updated Wiiflow on my black Wii and i THINK that games are now booting 100% of the time (they're booting without a wii disc in, which is a first for me)
on my white wii, i ran syscheck, uploaded the file, and installed everything it said.. plus all the other 240-250 IOS for some reason
on my friends wii i opened ModMii and it was formatted different and pooped out a guide for me whilst DL'ing like 30 iOS (essentially skipping the syscheck scan)

my friends Wii, black, plays ANY game without hitch, 100% of the time, with no crashes, 1st try. (SSBM, Mario Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 2, you name it)
my other friends Wii, i used lego indiana jones and it works the same as friend #1s.
they all use dios mios 2.9 (idk, it was reliable and sometimes 2.11 wouldn't work on my white wii so ive always used 2.9)
anything that stands out, please mention it.. idk what i'm doing lol. been wingin it for like 5 years
*edit* i removed iOS's 240-248 and 251 on my white wii and installed dios mios 2.11 and it won't boot SSBM for the life of it. Nintendont works just fine, i just hate it.. and like WiiFlows covers.. GX didn't use to work on the White Wii, i'll try it and re-edit, a CFG mod that I have just booted SSBM first try with the NoDisc patch enabled, downloading covers and i'll post back after trying around 9 different game in a row.
also, Legacy TE made a dope USB loader dol so i don't have to go through USB Loader GX or CFG.. someone needs to make a channel forwarder for it, and for Brawl Minus.. it'd be so sick so if someone could point me in the direction for that too..

First Q, have u heard of ModMii? It sounds like your modding wii's using methods that are a lot harder than necessary

Anyway, have you tried nintendont for gamecube games?

Edit: rereading your message I see that your friends wii was modded using ModMii. I'm not surprised this is the one that's working the best (even though for all I know at this point it could be coincidence) lol ;)

Edit2: uninstalling ios248 isn't going to have an impact. Are you using the same hard drive on all the Wii's? It could be a hard drive compatibility issue

i've syscheck'd and ran the syschecks through the current ModMii and it says everything is up to date.. i use to syscheck and update my white Wii constantly back in the day.. tried all kinds of different shit with d2x and ModMii (within moderation.. i only tried stuff that people have confirmed.. i didn't put random shit in random places)
i don't think however, that i tried a freshinstall and format of my white wii.. not sure why this would all be happening though.. they're virtually identical when it comes to iOS.. must be the year difference in the disc drive? every other Wii i've modded was the black version
i also haven't tried going back through ModMii and reinstalling all my iOS even though they aren't outdated.. majority were installed through d2x on my Wii, maybe they bugged?
i like Cover art, that's why i don't use Nintendont, even though it works on any Wii no matter how much potato lol
also what's the point of USB GX.. just for the pretty pictures? there's no DM nonlite option.. it just redirects me to Nintendont after selecting a game.. why is it even an app (who uses DMLite anyways lol)
also my CFG loader just popped up an error i've never seen on WiiFlow during my like.. 5 years of use.. it wasn't apploader size 0.. but similar

yeah i use the same 2 SDs and same 64GB flashdrive for my black and White wii.. and tested my USB in my friends Wii without any problem (crazy thing is, he uses a microsd adapter and offbrand USB stick.. like.. i got the premium stuff :( )
i use 2 SDs because Brawl Minus and Legacy TE around like 1.5GB each
they're identical SD's, formatted the same.. one has Minus, one has TE

i gave up on this white wii long ago.. i was right to do so.. i've been trying stuff for hours.. i'm gonna go back to fiddling with the salvageable black wii lol
my White Wii booted SSBM first try on CFG Loader with nodisc patch on and pad buffer or pad something off. but, how do i do that for every game? seems like i'm going through all the options and there's no universal options.. i don't want go through 30+ games enabling no disc and disabling pad
