keep in mind while reading this that i have the legit WiiSpeak Channel.

i sent some WiiSpeak voice messages to my brother and my friend. both of them do not have WiiSpeak. my friend got a kick out of the message and he said he received it on his Wii Message Board without any problems at all.

my brother, on the other hand, did not receive my messages. i have sent him typed Wii Message Board mail before and he received it without any problems, so i know his friend code is correct. he also assures me that when he turns his Wii off, the power light is orange indicating that WiiConnect24 is on.

he uses HomeBrew and he is currently running firmware 3.3U. he has self installed some IOS as well. could that stuff have anything to do with it?

does anybody know what the problem could be? why doesn't he get my messages?

no idea, but im going to fathom a guess that they might need wiispeak themselves.. from what ive read about wiispeak, end users for spoken msg's must have wiispeak themselves to receive them..

just a guess...also, for your bro, sounds like wiiconnect may be turned on, but is his wii actually connected to the Inet??
